Statement : Charlotte Du Jardin investigation

HorseWorld are aware that, following an official complaint made to the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) on 22 July 2024, Team GB dressage athlete Charlotte Dujardin has withdrawn herself from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

HorseWorld are pleased that the complaint, which outlines allegations of animal welfare misconduct is being fully investigated by the FEI. Charlotte has voluntarily accepted a provisional suspension from the FEI while the investigation takes place.

HorseWorld supports equestrian sports but there cannot be any tolerance for unacceptable practices, the welfare of the horse is paramount and the highest standards of equine welfare must be upheld.

HorseWorld welcome the FEI investigation and await their report on the matter.
