HorseWorld Announced as Charity of the Year by Red Horse Products

HorseWorld, the Bristol-based equine welfare charity, is delighted to announce that it has been chosen as the Charity of the Year for 2025 by Red Horse Products Ltd, a UK-based manufacturer specializing in equine healthcare solutions. This partnership will provide vital support for HorseWorld’s ongoing mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses, ponies, and donkeys in need.

Since 1952, HorseWorld has been at the forefront of equine welfare, rescuing abused and abandoned horses and helping them find new, loving homes. Additionally, some of the specially selected rehabilitated horses have the second chance of a happy life within the charity’s Discovery programme, where they help vulnerable and disadvantaged young people develop confidence, trust, and essential life skills.

As part of this exciting collaboration, Red Horse Products Ltd will be supporting HorseWorld in several ways, including a donation of 20 pence from every website order, an initial £500 donation at the beginning of 2025, and a significant contribution of specialist hoof care, skincare, and wound support products.

The charity were already committed fans of Red Horse products, as HorseWorld’s Head of Equine Welfare Sarah Hollister explained: “We’re delighted to be in partnership with a brand we know and trust! When horses arrive, they are very often in terrible condition, so we’re always looking for the best products that make the biggest difference in each equine’s own personal rehabilitation journey. One product we’ve been using for a long time is the Artimud hoof putty; products like this one really are essentials we keep to hand at all times!”

Louise Austin, Director at Red Horse Products, explained why HorseWorld was selected: "We selected HorseWorld Trust as we were impressed by their idea to combine equine rescue and rehabilitation with supporting at-risk children through their Discovery programme. We were also impressed by their commitment to welfare and the correct, conscientious handling of the equines in their care."

HorseWorld’s new Chief Executive Officer, Jo Coombs, expressed gratitude for the partnership: "Partnerships like this are absolutely essential to our work, especially today. The cost of living crisis has meant we’ve seen a massive increase in the number of horses in need and in the cost of providing those horses with the expert care they need, so this support from Red Horse Products is going to make a huge difference and will directly impact the lives of the horses & donkeys who need us most. We are so grateful to Louise and the whole team and look forward to working with them this year."

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving equine welfare and ensuring that horses in need receive the highest standard of care. HorseWorld is incredibly grateful for Red Horse Products’ support and looks forward to working together on further fundraising initiatives throughout 2025.
